Spearheaded by Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma, MLA from Paddar, the campaign aims to promote cleanliness, environmental sustainability, and civic responsibility among the people of Kishtwar. The Chowgan Ground, a symbol of Kishtwar’s cultural and historical identity, served as the ideal location for this significant event. Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma, known for his dedication to community welfare, emphasised the importance of collective action in maintaining public spaces and improving the quality of life for residents. In his address, he urged the community to take ownership of their surroundings, stressing that cleanliness goes beyond physical space—it fosters a healthier, happier community. The campaign aims to engage local residents, students, NGOs, and volunteers to actively participate in cleanliness drives, waste segregation, and environmental conservation. During the launch, volunteers worked together to clean the ground, collect waste, and plant trees. The event also featured educational sessions on waste management and the importance of sustainability. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, with many residents expressing their commitment to making the initiative a long-term success.
