Teetwal, Kashmir, October 2, 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo made a historic visit to the Sharda Temple at the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal, Kashmir, marking his first visit to the LoC as Chief Secretary. Accompanied by his wife, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Suse, SSP Kupwara Gulam Geelani, and other officials, Dulloo was warmly welcomed by Sharda Committee coordinator Ajaz Khan.During the visit, Chief Secretary Dulloo and his wife offered prayers at the revered Sharda Temple, a significant cultural and religious site.
The visit was hailed by Ravinder Pandita, Chairman of the Save Sharda Committee, who expressed gratitude, stating, “I thank Atal Dulloo ji for appreciating our efforts in preserving Sharda’s legacy.”Ajaz Khan presented Dulloo with a traditional Sharda shawl and a copy of a book on Sharda authored by Pandita. Khan also urged the Chief Secretary to support the construction of a Yatri Niwas and other amenities to facilitate devotees visiting the temple.The visit underscores the administration’s commitment to promoting cultural heritage and improving infrastructure at key religious sites along the LoC.
