“Be Extraordinary in an Ordinary Subject”: Class 12 Valley Topper Areeza Javed from Srinagar Areeza Javed, a class 12 student from Srinagar, has secured the first position across all streams in the entire Kashmir Valley in the J&K Board 12th exams. Humble in her success, Areeza said she never expected to top. Choosing Humanities, she shared, “It’s better to be extraordinary in an ordinary subject than ordinary in an extraordinary one.” Thanking her father for his values and support, she emphasized the power of education in shaping individuals and society: “It’s what separates us from animals—it brings awareness, purpose, and the strength to speak up.” I have got the first position among all the streams in the whole Valley, said Areeza Javed, class 12 student topping in the J&K Board. I was aware that I have done well but I did not expect of topping in the Boards. Everyone friends and family congratulated me. I chose Humanities and think that you should be extraordinary in an ordinary subject rather than an ordinary student in an extraordinary subject.Your family is with you, it is your strength. What moral values do your parents give you and how do you move forward with them and achieve your targets I think that is more important, said Areeza Javed of Srinagar . I want to thank my father who has given me that kind of upbringing that has led me to where I am today. My set of people are nice and they are my comfort people. Family always stands with you. Education is the only thing that makes a difference between an animal and a social animal. So everyone must acquire education. Education makes us aware of a lot of things. It is better to be educated in the room and you need to be vocal, said J&K 12th topper Areeza Javed in Jammu & Kashmir’s Srinagar.
