Back to Village is the coming together of officers and people and administration and the public. Officers visit villages and sit with the public to understand problems, says Rohit Kansal, Pt. Secretary to government, Information Department. It is a knowledge campaign that has identified 80 schemes in the 35 departments. These are public facing schemes that are the demands of the public. The administration will try to saturate the 80 schemes and make improvements so that the demands of the public are met., said Rohit Kansal Pt. Secretary to government, Information Department. The locals residing in Poonch think that Back to Village is a good scheme that pays attention to the problems faced by the villagers. All the concerned officers including liaison officers are available on the spot to solve the problems. Through the Back to Village programme, the complaints of the people come to the notice of the government. The locals are happy that the officers go around to check each work and its quality, and check the schools and Aanganwaadi centres. They thanked the government at the centre and the slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas’ is happening in true sense at the ground level, feel the locals. People in Poonch also thanked the LG government for restarting the Back to Village programme for the welfare of the people.
