Ayeera Chishti becomes J&K’s first female athlete to win medal at World Championship

I have been playing Wushu for six years now, says Ayeera Chishti, Wushu Player from Jammu & Kashmir. She has played at an international event in Georgia and won a gold medal. She was selected for the Junior World Championship and won a bronze medal. She is Jammu & Kashmir’s first female athlete who has won a medal in the world championship. Ayeera created history at the 8th World Junior Wushu Championship. She also made her country famous and her Union Territory J&K proud of her achievement. Ayeera says her parents supported her a lot in pursuing this game. Her parents ignored the comments from society on how she should be focussing on her studies rather than playing games. Her parents realising the fact that Ayeera had talent focussed on pushing her forward. Her four sisters also did a lot for her so that she could achieve success in Wushu.
