To help the youth, an awarenesess programme has been initiated by the district administration Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir to empower the youth. Bilal Ahmad, a local resident says, schemes for the youth were discussed and youth were made aware so that the information helps them to strengthen their present. Today we see many youth getting caught in the habit of drugs or other such bad activites. The intent of the programme is to encourage the youth to avail benefits from the various government departments, the resident of Pulwama said. A local resident Faizan Zavid says, this is a good step from Rural Development department and many other departments. The J&K Bank is also playing a vital role. Along with PMEGP, Khadi & Village Industries Board is also playing vital role in youth empowerment process. Those who want to do small or big businesses the government is providing good schemes for them. A young person should utilise this opportunity to start their business with one of these schemes. The youth of Pulwama should act on the various self employment schemes of the government. The government gives us good subsidisation on these schemes, said officials.
