J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the celebration of 37th Foundation Day of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB). On the occasion, the LG laid the foundation stone of various projects of Shrine Board and Gurukul. For 1,450 workers posted at high altitudes, hardship allowance has been given approval. Accomodation facilities for workers near Katra in Ardha Kumari has been approved. The Lt Governor also rolled out new RFID system for the convenience of the passengers. Abdul, despite his advancing age, painstakingly weaves paddy straw to make handcrafted chappals called ‘pulhoor’. A customised livelihood generation scheme ‘Mumkin’ for the unemployed youth of Jammu & Kashmir was launched by the LG, Shri Manoj Sinha.
