From the era of physically moving files to e-governance, Kashmir has become digital no.1 among UTs

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said he just cannot forget October 28, 2020. Sinha had just joined the office as Lieutenant Governor in August. At that time the Chief Secretary Subramaniam told him that the Durbar was going to move. When the Lieutenant Governor asked him what he meant by that the Chief Secretary showed him. In Srinagar around 217 trucks were getting loaded with bundles of official files which were to be carried to Jammu. The Lieutenant Governor questioned how this was happening in today’s era. Moreover a thousand rooms were hired in Jammu and another thousand in Srinagar for office purposes. This system has been completely changed, LG said. A new system of e-governance has become operational in Jammu & Kashmir. In the ranking of UTs, Jammu & Kashmir is no.1, LG stated. And next year among states, J&K will be at the top, we are working in that direction, LG said. More than 400 services have been made online for the benefit of the common people.
