Kashmir, December 4,2025: The Foundation Day of Assam and Nagaland was celebrated at J&K Lok Bhavan as part of the Government of India’s cultural integration initiative, ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. The event witnessed the presence of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who extended warm greetings to the people of both states and highlighted their vital contribution to the nation’s growth.
LG Manoj Sinha praised the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and progressive spirit of Assam and Nagaland, stating that both states are “powering India’s development and making significant contributions across various sectors, including agriculture, tourism, industry, art, and social upliftment.” He emphasized that their achievements exemplify the strength of India’s unity in diversity.
The celebration at Lok Bhavan showcased traditional cultural performances, displays, and interactive sessions, promoting deeper understanding between Jammu & Kashmir and the northeastern states. The program aimed to strengthen inter-state cultural exchange, a core objective of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.
LG Sinha added that such events play a crucial role in fostering national integration, mutual respect, and cultural harmony. He reaffirmed the J&K administration’s commitment to participating actively in nationwide initiatives that celebrate India’s diverse identity.
