Pulwama, July 23: In yet another inspiring success story under the Mission YUVA initiative, Arif Ullaha, a college student from Pulwama, has successfully laid the foundation for his new enterprise — a “Semi Library” aimed at supporting students in academic preparation.
Speaking about his journey, Arif Ullaha shared, “I never expected that a government scheme could be this quick and efficient. The entire process was almost paperless. From the Employment Services team to the bank officials, everyone supported me throughout.”
He first learned about Mission YUVA during a prior conference and later came across the scheme through social media. Encouraged by its simplicity, Arif applied online through the Mission YUVA app. “The application process had just four simple steps. I submitted everything online and received a call within 7 to 10 days,” he said.
Arif emphasised how the Employment Services Department assisted him in modifying and forwarding his Detailed Project Report (DPR) efficiently. He appreciated the low time consumption and continuous support during the process, including document verification, DPR revisions, and final approvals.
“Apart from funding, the best part of Mission YUVA is the support system — from employment officials to the banks, everyone is working together to help youth build something meaningful,” Arif added.
His new venture, named “Semi Library,” will not only serve as a reading space but will also provide resources for students preparing for various competitive exams. “It’s not limited to one type of student. Whether someone is preparing for board exams or competitive tests, they’ll find what they need here,” he said.
Arif also reflected on the responsibilities that come with entrepreneurship. “This process teaches you financial discipline and market understanding. Competition is increasing, so it’s better to start early and prepare well.”
Mission YUVA, a flagship self-employment initiative in Jammu & Kashmir, continues to enable youth across the region by offering digital platforms, funding, and institutional support for starting micro-enterprises.
