Upcoming: Warwan Festival Extravaganza 2023 in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir

Preparations for the Warwan Festival are going on for a long time. Last year the local administration and SDM had started the Warwan Festival for the first time which received a very good response. Seeing the good response and the demand from the area, the Directorate of Tourism took an initiative of starting it as a Calendar festival, said DC Devansh Yadav. He informed that the Directorate of Tourism Jammu in collaboration with District Administration Kishtwar is organising the Warwan Festival Extravaganza this year on September 23-24, 2023. This festival is being organised on a very large scale, said the DC. Warwan Valley is a Himalayan sub-valley and a tehsil in the Kishtwar District in the Jammu division. Warwan is seen as a potential for reverse tourism drawing tourists from Kashmir. The festival is going to be organised on weekend on Sep 23-24, and the official requested everyone to join in the festival in this beautiful area. The Valley lies 68km north-east of Kishtwar and 150km from Srinagar. The youth of Warwan have made beautiful dining arrangements for the tourists. Arrangements are being made for their convenience so that the tourists coming from outside do not face any kind of problem, said a Warwan man.
