CRPF Organises Successful Cricket Tournament in Awantipora, Igniting Youth Passion for Sports

CRPF Awantipora organised a cricket tournament for the youth in Jammu & Kashmir. Sixteen teams participated in the tournament in Awantipora which went on for 7 days. This is a good initiative which gives a boost to the youth, said cricket players. The passion of the neighbourhood youth is ignited. These initiatives by the Army, CRPF or J&K Police is praiseworthy. They are conducting sports programmes to keep the youth engaged in healthy pursuits. The youth have got a new path because of initiatives like these. South Kashmir which was behind in sports is picking up pace. Whether it is martial arts, cricket or football, South Kashmir players are rising and as one player said hopefully very soon international players will be created from this region.
