The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha flagged off the Shri Amarnath yatra 2023 in Jammu from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Camp. LG prayed to Baba Amarnath for peace, prosperity and happiness to all. He also wished all the devotees a safe and spiritually-fulfilling journey. More than 3,400 pilgrims left for the two base camps Pahalgam and Baltal in Kashmir to undertake the yatra to reach the Amarnath cave shrine situated at a height of 3,880 metres in the south Kashmir Himalayas. The yatra will begin on July 1, 2023. The pilgrimage will carry on for 62 days for the devotees of Baba Amarnath.
