Pulwama, August 14,2026- In a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of India’s Independence, an art exhibition titled “The Canvas of Freedom” was held today at Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Chersoo, Awantipora, Pulwama.
Students Bring History to Life on Canvas
The exhibition showcased the artistic talent of students of HSS Chersoo, who sketched portraits of India’s freedom fighters and depicted their struggles, sacrifices, and contributions to the nation’s independence. Through their artwork, the young artists paid a meaningful tribute to the heroes who shaped the country’s history, blending creativity with historical reflection.

Inaugurated Amid Dignitaries and Community Members
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Chief Educational Officer, Pulwama, in the presence of members of the local community and other dignitaries. The programme was organised under the supervision and guidance of the school’s Principal, Mr. Ehsan ul Haq, whose efforts were instrumental in making the event meaningful and inspiring for both students and visitors alike.
