Doda, July 28,2026- In a significant step towards building a drug-free society, MY Bharat Kendra Doda organised an awareness programme under the nationwide ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ campaign, bringing together students, government officials, and community members to spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.
The programme aimed to encourage young people to become ambassadors of a Drug-Free India, inspiring them to reject narcotics and promote healthy, responsible lifestyles. Participants were educated about the harmful physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug addiction and the importance of collective action in eliminating the menace from society.
During the event, students enthusiastically participated in awareness activities and took a solemn pledge to stay away from drugs and motivate others to do the same. Officials highlighted that the active involvement of youth is essential in achieving the vision of a ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ and a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
Speakers stressed that awareness, education, and community participation are the strongest tools in preventing substance abuse. They urged students to become role models in their schools and neighbourhoods by promoting positive values and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
The awareness programme concluded with a collective commitment from participants to work together in creating a safer, healthier, and addiction-free society. Organisers said such initiatives will continue to empower young people to play a leading role in safeguarding their communities from the harmful effects of drugs.
The ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ campaign is part of a nationwide effort to mobilise India’s youth against drug abuse while fostering a healthier and more productive generation that contributes to the country’s development.
