Witnessing the concluding offering of this grand ‘Mahayajna’ conference is one of the most significant and privileged experiences of my life, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. This event on the sacred soil of Baramulla offers a glimpse of India’s vibrant soul. This event marks a golden chapter in our history and a renaissance of spiritual consciousness; it stands as a beacon of peace, harmony, and national unity, whose divine radiance will spread from the soil of Baramulla to Jammu & Kashmir and every corner of India. This land became renowned by the name of Lord Vishnu’s Varaha avatar. And it is also considered a sacred site of culture and spiritual consciousness. A commendable effort has been made to revive the glorious legacy of Varah Mulla. On this land that embodies the spirit of equal respect for all faiths, through this ‘Mahayagya’, we are breathing new life into that spiritual heritage which has, for centuries, bestowed a distinct and unique identity upon Jammu & Kashmir, India, and the entire world. In Sanatan Dharma, the true message of a Mahayajna is the resolve for world peace. In our Sanatan tradition, a ‘Yagya’ is not merely about offering oblations into the fire; it is also regarded as a symbol of renouncing selfishness, embracing collective responsibility, and undergoing inner transformation. And India stands as a testament to the fact that all the religions of the world found ample opportunity to flourish here. This grand gathering—this ‘Mahayajna’ of Dharma—is a living embodiment of that very national unity, and this is, in fact, India’s true identity. I would like to say that the greatest success of this Mahayagya Dharma Sammelan will be achieved only when its message reaches the youth—the young generation—and inspires them. And I would like the youth of India to lead the world, innovate, guide the path of ideas, and write new chapters of progress rooted in human compassion. I would also like our youth to help carry forward India’s great cultural heritage and show the world that modernity and spirituality can go hand in hand, said the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
