Kashmir Ahead

I have come from Haryana; this is my first Amarnath Yatra, said a female pilgrim. The scenery is truly amazing. I am at a loss for words to describe it. Tears welled up in my eyes as soon as I climbed up; I felt as though my God had called me. The people here are very good. When my child had breathing difficulties, the security personnel—whether from the CRPF or ITBP—helped a great deal. The person with the horse was also very supportive; he held onto my daughter to ensure she didn’t fall, telling me, “Madam, don’t worry; this child is like my own.” The people here are very cooperative; even a heartfelt thank-you wouldn’t be enough. This sight of Bholenath is ultimate—simply superb, the pilgrim said. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the people of Kashmir—the horsemen, the palanquin bearers, and those who organized the ‘langar’ and tents; everyone cooperated so wonderfully. I am truly grateful for this opportunity to visit, and I thank God profusely. Pilgrim Bhupendra Singh talking about his yatra experience said, the 20km trek in a day was difficult and I felt I will not be able to do but everything became easy and I have reached the cave for darshan. One after another, circumstances unfolded in such a way that my journey became easy. It was Bholenath’s blessing, in some way, that I found my way here on my own. When I saw other passengers—some elderly, and one who didn’t even have a leg—making the journey, I thought to myself: if they can do it, then I can too. Having participated in the Aarti, I feel that my life has been fulfilled. I feel like I am sitting at the feet of Lord Bhole and all around the facilities have been created the tent and langar for the yatris. The pilgrims here also hold reverence for one another, he remarked.
