LG Manoj Sinha reviews Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra facilities at Nunwan base camp

Anantnag, July 17,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited the Nunwan Base Camp in Pahalgam to inspect the facilities being provided to pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 and chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials to assess the progress of arrangements for the ongoing pilgrimage.

During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the availability of essential services and directed all concerned departments to continue working in mission mode to ensure the safety, comfort, and welfare of every pilgrim.

Highlighting the successful conduct of the annual pilgrimage, LG Manoj Sinha said that 15 days since the commencement of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, more than 3.50 lakh devotees have had the darshan of Baba Bholenath.

“By the grace of Lord Shiva, the yatra is proceeding smoothly. There is great enthusiasm among devotees coming from every corner of the country, and local residents and service providers are also actively engaged in making this sacred pilgrimage a success,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

During the review meeting, the Lieutenant Governor examined the arrangements for drinking water, electricity, telecom connectivity, accommodation, food, sanitation, healthcare, and other essential services being provided to pilgrims at the base camp and along the yatra route.

He instructed officials from all departments to maintain seamless coordination and ensure uninterrupted delivery of services throughout the pilgrimage. Stressing the importance of efficient administration, he called upon every department to remain vigilant and responsive to the needs of devotees visiting the holy cave shrine of Baba Barfani.

The Nunwan Base Camp is one of the principal transit facilities on the traditional Pahalgam route, serving thousands of pilgrims each day. The Jammu and Kashmir Administration, in coordination with the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), security agencies, healthcare teams, and other departments, has put in place comprehensive arrangements to facilitate the smooth conduct of the yatra.

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 continues to witness an overwhelming response from devotees across India, with authorities maintaining round-the-clock monitoring and extensive logistical support to ensure a safe, secure, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage.
