Pilgrims applaud medical facilities at Banihal during Amarnath Yatra 2026

Banihal, July 15,2026- Pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 have expressed satisfaction with the healthcare arrangements at the Banihal Transit Camp, appreciating the availability of prompt medical assistance and round-the-clock healthcare services provided by the authorities.

One of the pilgrims lauded the medical infrastructure, stating that emergency healthcare is readily accessible for devotees throughout their journey.

“The medical facilities here are very good. Medical assistance is available nearby. If any devotee of Lord Shiva or any pilgrim faces any health issue, medicines are provided immediately, and treatment is given without delay, regardless of the nature of the ailment,” the pilgrim said.

The positive feedback reflects the extensive healthcare preparations made by the Jammu and Kashmir Administration, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), and the Health Department to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage.

Medical teams, ambulances, emergency response units, and well-equipped health centres have been deployed at transit camps and along both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes to provide immediate treatment for altitude-related illnesses, injuries, and other medical emergencies.

The comprehensive healthcare network forms an important part of the multi-layered arrangements put in place for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026, alongside enhanced security, sanitation, accommodation, and transportation facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable pilgrimage experience for thousands of devotees travelling to the holy cave shrine of Baba Barfani.
