Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra crosses 3 lakh pilgrims in 12 days, LG Manoj Sinha commends officials and volunteers

Srinagar, July 14,2026-The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 has achieved a historic milestone, with more than 3 lakh pilgrims paying obeisance at the Holy Cave Shrine in just 12 days of the annual pilgrimage.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha hailed the achievement and expressed gratitude to all those involved in ensuring the smooth conduct of the Yatra. Congratulating the officials, security personnel, service providers, and volunteers, the Lieutenant Governor said their tireless efforts have made the sacred pilgrimage a seamless and memorable experience for devotees from across the country.

Taking to social media, the Lieutenant Governor stated, “Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has set a historic new record, crossing the 3 lakh mark in just 12 days. I commend all the officials, service providers and volunteers. Their dedication and hard work have made this holy pilgrimage smooth and memorable for every devotee of Baba Barfani. Har Har Mahadev!”

The record-breaking turnout reflects the unwavering faith of devotees and the extensive arrangements put in place by the Jammu and Kashmir Administration and the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB). Comprehensive security measures, improved infrastructure, efficient traffic management, healthcare facilities, sanitation services, and round-the-clock assistance have contributed to the successful conduct of the pilgrimage.

The annual Yatra continues to witness an enthusiastic response from pilgrims, with authorities maintaining robust arrangements to ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of devotees undertaking the sacred journey to the revered Holy Cave Shrine of Baba Barfani.
