Srinagar tourism gets a boost as tourists enjoy shikara rides on Dal Lake

 

Srinagar, July 12,2026-Pleasant weather in Srinagar attracted a large number of tourists to the iconic Dal Lake on Sunday, where visitors were seen enjoying traditional Shikara rides amid picturesque surroundings. The favourable weather conditions and scenic beauty of the valley have led to a noticeable increase in tourist activity, providing a significant boost to the tourism sector in Jammu & Kashmir.

Families, couples and solo travellers flocked to the famous lake, taking leisurely Shikara rides while admiring the breathtaking views of the Zabarwan Hills and the lush landscapes surrounding Dal Lake. Local Shikara operators and vendors expressed satisfaction over the steady influx of visitors, saying the rise in tourist footfall has improved business and generated employment opportunities.
