Free AYUSH medical camp established at Banihal’s Lamber Yatra Ground for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims

Banihal, July 11,2026- In a significant step to strengthen healthcare services for pilgrims, the AYUSH Department, in collaboration with the Ramban district administration, has established a free medical camp at the Lamber Yatra Ground in Banihal to facilitate the smooth and safe conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

The medical camp is providing a range of free healthcare services, including health check-ups, AYUSH consultations, medicines, first aid, and preventive healthcare guidance to pilgrims travelling towards the Holy Cave. The initiative is aimed at ensuring the well-being of devotees and addressing minor health concerns during the pilgrimage.

Qualified AYUSH doctors and healthcare personnel have been deployed at the camp to offer timely medical assistance and wellness advice. Pilgrims are also being educated on hydration, nutrition, and precautions to prevent altitude-related illnesses, helping them undertake the Yatra safely and comfortably.

The free medical camp is part of the comprehensive arrangements made by the administration to enhance healthcare support along the Yatra route. By integrating traditional systems of medicine with preventive care, the initiative seeks to provide holistic health services and contribute to a seamless pilgrimage experience.

The AYUSH Department and the Ramban district administration have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that every pilgrim has access to quality healthcare facilities throughout the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
