Sonmarg, July 3,2026- Pilgrims participating in the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 expressed excitement and devotion as they prepared to undertake the sacred journey to the Holy Cave Shrine via the Baltal route, while appreciating the support extended by the people of Kashmir and the administration.
First-time pilgrim Divya Banswala shared her enthusiasm, describing the pilgrimage as a divine calling from Lord Shiva.
“We are very happy and very excited. We are coming here for the first time, and it feels like a calling from Baba. Everyone is eagerly waiting for one thing—to have the darshan of Baba as soon as possible. We have received immense support from the people of Kashmir,” she said.
Another devotee, Anu Sharma, who is undertaking the pilgrimage for the seventh time and her fourth consecutive Yatra, said the spiritual fervour among pilgrims remains high.
“I am coming on this pilgrimage for the seventh time, and this is my fourth consecutive visit. We are taking the Baltal route, and there is great enthusiasm among devotees. Everyone is eager to seek the blessings of Baba,” she said.
While appreciating the overall arrangements made by the administration, Sharma pointed out that some pilgrims experienced inconvenience during the RFID card process.
“The administration’s arrangements are generally good. However, people are facing some difficulties regarding the RFID cards. We hope these issues are resolved and that the pilgrimage is completed successfully,” she added.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 has begun amid elaborate security and logistical arrangements by the Jammu and Kashmir administration, with thousands of devotees arriving from across the country to undertake the annual pilgrimage to the revered Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji. Authorities have deployed extensive security measures and support services to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims throughout the Yatra.
