Reasi, June 29,2026-The Health Department in Reasi has intensified the second phase of the National Pulse Polio Campaign, launching an extensive door-to-door drive to ensure that every child below the age of five receives life-saving polio drops.
Health teams have been visiting households across the district to reach children aged 0–5 years, with special focus on remote and underserved areas. The campaign aims to leave no child behind and strengthen immunity against poliovirus through universal immunisation.
According to officials, the district has set a target of covering 59,462 children during the ongoing phase of the campaign. Health workers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi staff, and other frontline personnel are working tirelessly to achieve complete coverage by conducting house-to-house visits and creating awareness among parents about the importance of polio vaccination.
Officials expressed confidence that the district will achieve 100% coverage in the coming days, highlighting the coordinated efforts of healthcare teams and the positive response from the public.
The National Pulse Polio Campaign remains one of India’s most significant public health initiatives, ensuring that every eligible child receives polio drops to keep the country polio-free. The Health Department has appealed to parents and guardians to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure that no child misses the opportunity to receive the vaccine.
