LG Manoj Sinha extends greetings on Jyeshtha Ashtami, prays for peace and prosperity

Srinagar, June 22,2026- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his heartiest greetings to the people, especially the Kashmiri Pandit community, on the sacred occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami.

In his message, the Lieutenant Governor said, “Heartiest greetings to all, especially our Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters, on the sacred occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami. May Mata Kheer Bhawani continue to guide us on the path of righteousness and bless everyone with peace, happiness, good health and prosperity.”

Jyeshtha Ashtami is a significant religious occasion for the Kashmiri Pandit community and is observed with deep devotion at the revered Kheer Bhawani Temple, dedicated to Mata Kheer Bhawani, also known as Mata Ragnya Devi.

The Lieutenant Governor prayed for the well-being of all citizens and expressed hope that the blessings of Mata Kheer Bhawani would bring harmony, progress, and prosperity to society. He also highlighted the spiritual and cultural importance of the festival, which attracts thousands of devotees from across the country to the shrine every year.

Jyeshtha Ashtami remains an important symbol of Kashmir’s rich spiritual heritage and the enduring faith of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
