Ramban, June 19,2026- A huge influx of devotees was witnessed at the revered Maa Chamunda Shrine in Ramban district during the annual Galadhar Mela, as thousands of pilgrims gathered to offer prayers and seek blessings of the deity. The religious event was marked by deep faith, devotion, and traditional fervour, drawing devotees from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir and neighbouring regions.
From the early hours of the day, long queues of worshippers could be seen making their way to the shrine. Devotees participated in special prayers, religious rituals, and community gatherings organised as part of the annual mela. The atmosphere echoed with chants of “Jai Mata Di” as pilgrims paid obeisance at the sacred shrine.
Authorities had put in place elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Security personnel, health teams, and volunteers were deployed to manage the large crowds and facilitate the movement of pilgrims. Temporary facilities, including drinking water points and assistance centres, were also established for the convenience of visitors.
Local residents and devotees expressed happiness over the successful organisation of the mela, highlighting its religious and cultural significance. The annual Galadhar Mela is regarded as one of the prominent spiritual gatherings in the region and serves as an important occasion for preserving local traditions and strengthening community bonds.
The event concluded peacefully, with devotees offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all. The large turnout once again reflected the enduring faith of people in Maa Chamunda and the growing prominence of the shrine as a major religious destination in Jammu and Kashmir.
