Over 4.38 lakh pilgrims visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in first 10 days of June

Jammu, 12 June 2026- The revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine continues to witness a massive influx of devotees, with more than 4.38 lakh pilgrims paying obeisance during the first ten days of June. With the latest figures, the total number of devotees visiting the holy shrine in 2026 has crossed 45.23 lakh, reflecting the enduring faith of pilgrims from across the country.

Officials of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board stated that the pilgrimage has seen a significant increase during the ongoing summer season, with thousands of devotees arriving daily at the holy cave shrine nestled in the Trikuta Hills.

To manage the growing rush, the Shrine Board has intensified arrangements aimed at ensuring a safe, smooth, and comfortable pilgrimage experience. Special focus has been placed on crowd management, sanitation, healthcare services, drinking water facilities, accommodation, and transportation support along the pilgrimage route.

Authorities have deployed additional personnel and strengthened monitoring systems to facilitate the movement of pilgrims, particularly during peak hours. Medical teams, emergency response units, and support staff remain stationed at key locations to assist devotees throughout their journey.

The summer vacation period traditionally witnesses a sharp rise in pilgrim footfall, and officials expect the number of visitors to remain high in the coming weeks. The Shrine Board has appealed to pilgrims to follow safety guidelines, maintain discipline, and cooperate with authorities to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
