Srinagar, May 12, 2026- Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Monday released a special commemorative postal envelope dedicated to the Jammu and Kashmir Ranji Trophy Champions 2025–26 at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar.
The commemorative postal cover, issued by the Department of Posts, honours the historic achievement of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team in the Ranji Trophy season 2025–26 and celebrates the remarkable contribution of players, coaches, and support staff.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated the team for bringing laurels to Jammu and Kashmir and said the achievement reflects the growing sports culture and immense talent among the youth of the Union Territory.
LG Manoj Sinha said the success of the J&K Ranji Trophy team has inspired young cricketers across the region and demonstrated the positive transformation taking place in the sports sector.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure, nurturing young talent, and creating more opportunities for youth to excel at national and international levels.
The special postal envelope features elements symbolizing the team’s historic victory and serves as a tribute to one of the biggest sporting achievements in Jammu and Kashmir’s cricket history.
Senior officials, representatives of the Department of Posts, sports personalities, and members of the cricket fraternity were present during the release ceremony at Lok Bhavan.
