Srinagar, May 10, 2026- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha handed over appointment letters to newly recruited constables during a ceremony held at Zewan in Srinagar on Sunday.
Addressing the newly inducted personnel, the Lieutenant Governor said that the recruits would significantly strengthen the capabilities of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and enhance the overall efficiency of the department in maintaining law and order across the Union Territory.
LG Manoj Sinha congratulated the constables on joining the police force and urged them to uphold the proud and glorious legacy of the Jammu and Kashmir Police with honesty, discipline, integrity and dedication to national service.
He emphasized that the role of police personnel is crucial in ensuring peace, security and public welfare, adding that the youth joining the force must serve the nation with unwavering commitment and professionalism.
The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the sacrifices and contributions made by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in safeguarding the nation and maintaining peace in the region. He encouraged the recruits to work with courage, responsibility and a people-friendly approach while discharging their duties.
The appointment ceremony witnessed the presence of senior police officials and administrative officers who welcomed the new recruits into the force.
