Bhaderwah plants 27 trees honouring Pahalgam victims

Bhaderwah, April 23,2026- In a poignant blend of remembrance and environmental stewardship, the 33 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force , in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department, organized a plantation drive in Bhaderwah to honour the victims of the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam terror attack.

A total of 27 trees were planted, symbolizing the lives lost—26 dedicated to the victims and one to a local protector—serving as a living tribute to their memory. The initiative reflects a powerful message of life, resilience, and renewal, while reinforcing the region’s commitment to environmental conservation.

Officials stated that the plantation drive not only commemorates the victims but also promotes awareness about preserving nature. The symbolic act of planting trees aims to ensure that the legacy of those lost continues to grow and inspire future generations.

Participants, including security personnel, forest officials, and local residents, came together in solidarity, highlighting a shared resolve to honour the departed and uphold peace.
