Jammu, April 9, 2026 – In a strong push to curb drug abuse, the Jammu administration has intensified its anti-drug campaign by actively involving civil society groups as key partners in awareness and prevention efforts across the region.
The initiative aims to create a broad-based movement against substance abuse by encouraging community participation at all levels. Civil society organisations have been urged to act as vigilant stakeholders, helping authorities identify cases, spread awareness, and support rehabilitation efforts.
Officials said the campaign focuses on grassroots outreach through awareness drives, educational programmes, and community engagement activities to sensitise youth and families about the dangers of drug addiction.
The administration emphasised that tackling drug abuse requires collective responsibility, with cooperation between government agencies, local communities, and social organisations playing a crucial role in ensuring long-term impact.
Citizens have also been encouraged to report drug-related activities and contribute towards building a drug-free society, reinforcing the vision of a safer and healthier Jammu.
