Srinagar, April 6,2026- In a significant boost to healthcare services in the region, Satyendar Kumar Sakinai announced the creation of 64 new posts at the Bone & Joint Hospital. The initiative is aimed at operationalizing the hospital’s newly constructed 120-bed block, enhancing the delivery of orthopedic and joint-related medical care.
The newly sanctioned positions will cover a wide range of medical, paramedical, and support staff roles, ensuring smooth functioning of the expanded facility and providing high-quality patient care. Officials highlighted that the initiative will significantly strengthen the hospital’s capacity to handle increased patient loads and improve treatment outcomes.
The Health Minister stated that this move aligns with the government’s broader strategy to strengthen specialized healthcare services, improve patient care accessibility, and bolster the region’s overall healthcare infrastructure.
Healthcare professionals and hospital administrators welcomed the announcement, noting that the additional posts will reduce patient wait times, enhance service delivery, and support better management of orthopedic cases across the valley.
