Kashmir, April 1,2026- Showcasing the spirit of youth innovation and entrepreneurship, two young achievers from Udhampur—Shubham Sharma and Sandeep Abrol—were honoured at the Yuva Mahotsav in Jammu for their unique contribution to food innovation.
The duo was felicitated by Omar Abdullah under the Neo Innovation Initiative, recognising their efforts to blend traditional Kalari with a modern twist.
Their venture highlights how local heritage can be reimagined through innovation, turning a traditional dairy product into a contemporary offering with wider market appeal. By adding value to Kalari, often referred to as the “Mozzarella of Jammu,” the young entrepreneurs are not only preserving regional culinary identity but also creating new opportunities in the food sector.
