Radio Doda FM boosts rural connectivity in J&K

Doda, March 25,2026-In a significant step towards enhancing communication and community engagement, Radio Doda 88.8 FM was officially launched in Doda by Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal, with support from the Indian Army.

The newly launched community radio station aims to serve as a vital link between the administration and the people, especially in far-flung and underserved areas of the district. It will broadcast important government information, welfare schemes, public awareness programs, and local updates, ensuring that even remote populations remain informed and connected.

Officials said the initiative will also play a crucial role in promoting local culture, traditions, and talent, giving a platform to regional voices, artists, and community stories.

By leveraging radio as a powerful medium, the administration seeks to bridge communication gaps, improve governance outreach, and encourage greater public participation in developmental initiatives.

The collaboration with the Indian Army further underscores efforts to strengthen grassroots connectivity and social cohesion in the region.

Residents have welcomed the move, expressing optimism that Radio Doda will become a trusted source of information and a voice for the community.

The launch marks a major milestone in expanding inclusive communication and last-mile governance delivery in Jammu and Kashmir.
