LG Manoj Sinha unveils Ranbir Singh bust in Jammu

Jammu, March 16,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the time has come for India to reclaim its rightful place in guiding a world facing multiple challenges. He emphasized the need to prepare the youth of the nation to build a strong and united India dedicated to the ideals of universal peace and human welfare.

The Lieutenant Governor made these remarks while unveiling the bust of Maharaja Ranbir Singh at the Central Sanskrit University, Jammu campus. On the occasion, the campus was also officially renamed as Shri Maharaja Ranbir Singh Campus, in recognition of the Dogra ruler’s immense contributions to society and culture.

Addressing the gathering, Sinha said India must nurture its younger generation with strong values, knowledge, and a spirit of unity so that they can guide the global community towards harmony and peace. He stressed that empowering youth with education and moral strength would help India emerge as a formidable force on the world stage.

The Lieutenant Governor also paid rich tributes to Maharaja Ranbir Singh, highlighting his significant role in shaping the cultural and administrative foundations of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the nation owes a profound debt to the visionary ruler for introducing important reforms, promoting education, and fostering a vibrant cultural identity in the region.

Sinha noted that Maharaja Ranbir Singh’s leadership helped build a robust and thriving Jammu and Kashmir, laying the groundwork for progress and social development. He added that remembering such visionary leaders would inspire future generations to contribute towards nation-building.

The event was attended by scholars, students, faculty members, and officials who lauded the initiative to honor Maharaja Ranbir Singh’s legacy at the university campus.
