Kishtwar, March 14,2026-A public awareness and medical camp was successfully organized at Mughal Maidan in Kishtwar to provide essential healthcare services and spread awareness among local residents about preventive healthcare and hygiene practices.
The medical camp witnessed active participation from villagers of Mughal Maidan and surrounding areas, where a team of doctors and healthcare workers offered free medical consultations, basic diagnostic tests, and medicines to the patients. The initiative aimed to ensure that people living in remote and far-flung areas receive timely medical attention and guidance on maintaining better health.
During the camp, medical experts conducted health check-ups for common ailments, including blood pressure, diabetes screening, and general physical examinations. Special emphasis was laid on spreading awareness about sanitation, nutrition, maternal health, and prevention of seasonal diseases.
Local residents appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude to the health department for bringing healthcare services to their doorstep. For many villagers, such camps provide an important opportunity to consult doctors without traveling long distances to hospitals.
Officials present at the camp said that similar outreach programmes will continue in other remote areas of Kishtwar to ensure accessible and affordable healthcare services for all sections of society. The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening public health awareness and improving healthcare access in rural and hilly regions.
