Srinagar, March 2,2026- Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday chaired a high-level security review meeting at Lok Bhavan to assess the prevailing security situation across the Union Territory.
The meeting was attended by Lt. Gen. Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GoC-in-C), Northern Command; Nalin Prabhat, Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir Police; Lt. Gen. Prashant Srivastava, GoC 15 Corps; and Maj. Gen. Balbir Singh, MGGS, Northern Command.
During the in-depth deliberations, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the overall security grid, counter-terrorism operations, intelligence coordination, and border management measures. Emphasis was laid on maintaining heightened vigilance, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
The top security brass briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the current operational preparedness, anti-infiltration measures along the Line of Control, and ongoing efforts to dismantle terror networks in sensitive districts. The officials also discussed strategies to counter emerging threats and maintain peace and stability in the region.
Shri Manoj Sinha reiterated the administration’s commitment to zero tolerance against terrorism and directed security agencies to continue proactive operations while safeguarding civilian lives. He stressed the importance of seamless coordination between the Army, police, and intelligence agencies to uphold law and order.
The review meeting underscores the government’s continued focus on strengthening the security framework in Jammu and Kashmir amid evolving challenges.
