Indian Army’s Tiger Division aids Veterans in Jammu

Kashmir, March 2,2026-The Indian Army’s Tiger Division organised a comprehensive Veterans’ Outreach Programme in the villages of Abtal and Ramgarh in Jammu, extending on-the-spot assistance to Veer Naris and military veterans. The initiative aimed to address grievances, facilitate welfare services, and strengthen engagement with the ex-servicemen community.

During the outreach, officials interacted directly with veterans and families of fallen soldiers, ensuring swift resolution of pension-related issues, documentation concerns, and other service matters. Dedicated help desks were established to provide immediate support, guidance on entitlements, and information about various welfare schemes.

Veer Naris — the widows of brave soldiers who laid down their lives in service of the nation — were assured continued institutional support. Army representatives reiterated their steadfast commitment to safeguarding the welfare and dignity of soldiers and their families, both during and after service.

The programme witnessed active participation from local veterans, who appreciated the Army’s proactive approach in reaching remote areas to deliver essential services. By bringing assistance directly to the doorstep of beneficiaries, the initiative sought to eliminate procedural delays and enhance accessibility.

The outreach drive reflects the Indian Army’s enduring bond with its veterans and martyrs’ families, underscoring the nation’s gratitude and responsibility towards those who have served and sacrificed.
