Kashmir, Feburary 20,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains firmly committed to ensuring the dignified return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
Addressing a public function, LG Sinha emphasized that the safe and respectful return of displaced families is a top priority for the government. He stated that several measures have been taken to create a secure environment, provide employment opportunities, and facilitate housing for members of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
The Lieutenant Governor highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure, improve security mechanisms, and accelerate development works to restore confidence among displaced families. He said the administration is working in a mission mode to address long-standing concerns and ensure sustainable rehabilitation.
Reiterating the government’s resolve, LG Sinha said the return of Kashmiri Pandits with dignity is not merely a policy objective but a moral commitment. He added that inclusive growth, peace, and communal harmony are essential pillars for rebuilding trust and fostering long-term stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials noted that employment packages, transit accommodations, and various welfare initiatives are part of a broader roadmap aimed at facilitating safe resettlement.
