Reasi , February 13, 2026- Dasanoo, Reasi, has launched a 10-day skill development programme aimed at empowering minority women through traditional handicrafts. The initiative trains 25 women in crafts such as Chabri and Binna, helping preserve indigenous art forms while promoting economic self-reliance.
Organizers highlighted that the programme not only enhances craftsmanship but also provides sustainable income opportunities, enabling participants to become financially independent. By focusing on traditional skills, the training helps safeguard local heritage while equipping women with marketable expertise for small-scale businesses or cooperative ventures.
The training is part of a broader effort to empower minority communities in Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring inclusivity in skill development initiatives and encouraging entrepreneurship among women.
