Kashmir, February 13, 2026- Dhadkai, often referred to as the “Silent Village of India,” witnessed a significant boost in sustainable development as Bindi International, in collaboration with the District Administration of Doda, distributed nearly 200 solar lamps to tribal households. This initiative aims to improve the quality of life for off-grid families by providing access to clean, reliable lighting.
The solar lamps are expected to enhance safety during nighttime, support educational activities for children, and enable families to extend work and livelihood-related tasks beyond daylight hours. The program reflects a strong commitment to sustainable development and community welfare, aligning with broader goals of rural electrification and renewable energy adoption in remote regions.
Local officials praised the initiative for its impact on improving living standards and empowering communities in Dhadkai, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts between corporate social responsibility programs and district administration. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, highlighting how access to solar lighting will reduce dependency on kerosene lamps and contribute to a healthier, safer, and more productive environment.
This CSR-driven project underscores the potential of renewable energy solutions to transform lives in India’s most remote and underserved villages.
