Srinagar, Feburary 10,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered transfers and postings of several IAS officers in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect, as part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery.
According to an official order issued by the General Administration Department, the reshuffle involves changes in key administrative positions across departments and districts. The transfers are intended to ensure effective implementation of government policies and enhance administrative efficiency.
The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, who holds executive authority over administrative matters in the Union Territory, has been periodically reviewing the performance of officers and initiating changes to streamline governance. Officials said the latest transfers are part of the ongoing process of rationalizing postings in line with administrative requirements.
