Here, the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Pulwama has initiated snow cricket game, tug of war, etc. The guest of honour was DC Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom and Senior Superintendant of Police Ms Tanushree. If this becomes a tourist spot then a lot of employment generation can happen. Tourism should increase here. Good snowfall has occurred, said a local resident Gulzaar Ahmed Ladi. It is very nice here. You won’t find such scenery anywhere. People here are very nice. You won’t find such jungles anywhere else. We are grateful to our DC who has taken such a good step. He has to do a lot more here. After a span of ten years, it has snowed so much, the resident said. Another female resident Sunaina Gulzaar said because of snow, people are inside their homes. This spoils their physique. The DC here statrted a snow sports festival in which we see a lot of participation from boys and girls. We would like the local youth and school children to participate in the snow sports festival. This will keep them physically fit and mentally balanced. We want tourists to come to Kashmir and enjoy the view and nature and participate in the snow sports festival, the resident added. Another Pulwama local resident Syed Javed Iqbal said, first of all, I would like to thank the Allah for a good snowfall here. It is a good sign for more tourism. Snow sports tourism can be developed here. Many people have participated and happiness can be seen among the people, so this should continue in the future also.
