Jammu ,January 20,2026-Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday paid heartfelt homage to Havildar Gajendra Singh of the Indian Army’s Special Forces, who attained martyrdom during an ongoing anti-terror operation in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing deep grief over the loss of the brave soldier, the Lieutenant Governor saluted the courage and supreme sacrifice of Havildar Gajendra Singh, who laid down his life in the line of duty while fighting terrorists.
“I salute the supreme sacrifice of our Braveheart Havildar Gajendra Singh. His sacrifice will remain etched in our hearts forever. The entire nation stands in solidarity with the bereaved family of our martyr in this difficult hour,” LG Manoj Sinha said.
The Lieutenant Governor said the nation will always remain indebted to the valour, dedication, and selfless service of the armed forces personnel who safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of the country. He reiterated that the sacrifices of India’s soldiers strengthen the collective resolve to defeat terrorism.
Havildar Gajendra Singh’s martyrdom has drawn tributes from across the Union Territory, with people remembering his bravery and commitment to national security. Senior officials and security personnel also paid tributes, acknowledging his role in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The administration expressed condolences to the family of the martyr and assured all possible support to them during this time of grief.
