Kashmir, January 14,2026-Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, extended warm greetings to all armed forces veterans on the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day. In his message, the LG acknowledged the invaluable contributions and sacrifices of veterans who have served the nation with dedication and courage.
“Today, we honour the bravery, commitment, and selfless service of our veterans. Their dedication has ensured the safety and security of the nation and continues to inspire generations,” LG Sinha said.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasised that the Jammu and Kashmir administration remains committed to the welfare of veterans and their families, ensuring that they receive the respect, recognition, and support they deserve. He also highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the government to improve the living standards and well-being of retired defence personnel.
Armed Forces Veterans Day, observed across India, is a tribute to the retired military personnel who have devoted their lives to the nation. The day also serves to remind society of the sacrifices made by the armed forces and the importance of supporting veterans in their post-retirement lives.
LG Manoj Sinha called upon citizens to honour the spirit of service exhibited by veterans and to continue upholding values of patriotism, duty, and courage in everyday life.
