Jammu, December 20,2025-Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Thursday released the 4th edition of “Kartavya Marg”, the annual in-house magazine published by Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, at Lok Bhawan. The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the editorial team and extended his best wishes to everyone associated with the publication.
Commending the Trust for its sustained efforts, the Lieutenant Governor lauded its commitment to promoting India’s ancient knowledge traditions, Vedic sciences, astrology, folk culture, and moral values, while nurturing cultural pride and social awareness.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said that the complete Indian Knowledge System, deeply rooted in the Vedas, offers a holistic worldview capable of providing solutions to modern-day challenges.
“Our ancient texts like the Vedas and Upanishads are a treasure trove of knowledge in mathematics, medicine, physics, botany, chemistry, arts, and humanities. Various philosophical schools, along with India’s rich traditions of art and architecture, remain profoundly relevant today for building a resilient and enlightened society,” he said.
Emphasising the importance of cultural continuity, the Lieutenant Governor observed that initiatives like Kartavya Marg play a crucial role in connecting the younger generation with India’s traditions and heritage. He urged the youth to imbibe ancient values and ideals in their present-day lives to strengthen social harmony.
The Lieutenant Governor further noted that Indian culture, ethics, and values help society navigate complex global challenges while cultivating virtues such as compassion, unity, and oneness.
“Our ancient knowledge systems and the wisdom embedded within them offer a blueprint for a successful modern world. They ensure the well-being of all, provide a roadmap for sustainable development and innovation, and offer a holistic framework to effectively address critical issues like climate change, helping build a sustainable future,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, informed that the annual publication is brought out in Hindi, Sanskrit, English, and Dogri, enabling its message of knowledge, culture, and values to reach a wide and diverse audience.
Several members of the Trust, including Prof. Sharat Sharma, Dr. Vishav Gupta, Shri Rajeev Sharma, Shri Vinay Agrawal, Shri Vinay Jamwal, Shri Nigam Gupta, Shri Rakesh Gandotra, Shri Naresh Raina, Shri Lucky Sharma, Shri Prabodh Sharma, Shri M.L. Verma, Dr. Vivek Arya, Shri Yoginder Singh, and Shri Satish Jandyal, were present during the release ceremony.
