“Every Athlete Builds India’s Future”: LG Manoj Sinha at National School Games, J&K I am delighted to be present among all the young athletes at the closing ceremony of the National School Games. I am told that in this year’s National School Games in Jammu Kashmir, four disciplines were organised – football, Wushu, Taekwondo, and table tennis. I would like to specially congratulate all the winners and also the players from the 34 states and UTs who participated in these games, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha at the 69th National School Games closing ceremony. Motivating the sportspersons, LG said, I believe that the athletes from every corner of the country who came to the National School Games are the makers of the nation’s destiny. Their aim is to promote the spirit of national unity and build the future of a golden India. I believe that when youthful energy and new goals come together, a new dynamism comes into the society and the nation. And the athlete works to create new lines of destiny with his vision, his skills and his sweat. Therefore, the National School Games are a symbol of youth dreams, LG spoke. It is a symbol of discipline, patience, dedication and progress in life. These games also symbolize the aspirations of the young demographic. These games also symbolize the ideals of patriotism and national service. I believe these Games are not just about first place and medals in four different disciplines. In fact, all four games also set new future goals for the new generation. The biggest quality of a sportsperson is that he works with complete dedication and gives his all to the game. I would like that when the feeling of all these dreams is born in the mind, then this resolution should also be born in our mind that every drop of sweat shed on the playing field will be for achieving excellence in that game. The balance between mind and body strengthens your thinking. And it helps in increasing your performance in the future. I would definitely like to tell the young sportspersons of Jammu Kashmir that you are role models for the youth here and the way the people and organizations involved in radicalization have tried to create an environment in Jammu Kashmir, I would urge you to definitely stand up against that. Athletes contribute to the nation’s collective goals by fostering national unity and a sense of collective pride. I see athletes as a powerful demographic force that is innovative, idealistic, and also capable of solving the challenges facing society through its creativity. I am confident that in this National School Games, along with medals, you will also be taking back the image and experience of a new Jammu and Kashmir. A Jammu Kashmir that is not only naturally beautiful but also economically has the potential to play a significant role in the country’s growth engine. A Jammu and Kashmir which today is a symbol of peace, harmony and prosperity, said the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha.
