Srinagar, December 1, 2025 – In a remarkable display of enthusiasm and commitment, 262 young men from Kashmir have joined the Territorial Army, reflecting a powerful shift in aspirations and outlook among the region’s youth. Many of the recruits stated that they had been “waiting for this opportunity for years,” underscoring their determination to serve the nation with pride.
The new recruits, drawn from various districts across the Valley, successfully completed the rigorous selection process—an achievement that highlights the growing inclination of Kashmir’s youth toward discipline, national service, and structured career opportunities.
Officials overseeing the recruitment said the turnout and quality of candidates demonstrate a positive transformation in the socio-psychological environment of the region. The volunteers showed strong resolve, dignity, and patriotism—factors that senior officers described as “the hallmark of today’s awakened Kashmiri youth.”
The induction of 262 young Kashmiris into the Territorial Army stands as a testament to Badalta Kashmir, a changing Kashmir that is embracing stability, development, and nation-building.
