Srinagar November 28,2025:The Srinagar Police have intensified their de-radicalisation efforts across the district as part of a sustained strategy to prevent youth from falling prey to misinformation, extremist propaganda, and online radical content. Officials said the initiative focuses on early intervention, community engagement, and counselling-based approaches to ensure long-term impact.
Police authorities highlighted that the strengthened measures include close coordination with families, educational institutions, social organisations, and local community leaders. Regular counselling sessions, awareness drives, and monitoring of vulnerable individuals are being carried out to guide at-risk youth toward constructive and positive paths.
According to officials, the objective is not only to counter radical influences but also to provide young people with opportunities, mentorship, and platforms that foster resilience. The strengthened strategy aims to maintain peace, safeguard the social fabric, and reinforce a secure environment across Srinagar.
The police have urged citizens to cooperate by reporting suspicious activities and participating in community-awareness programmes designed to enhance collective security.
