Kashmir,November 22, 2025-Sandeep Sharma, Zonal Head for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at ICICI Bank, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss ongoing and upcoming initiatives aimed at strengthening banking services and financial inclusion across the Union Territory.
During the meeting, Sharma briefed the LG on ICICI Bank’s expansion plans, digital banking solutions, and efforts to enhance customer services in remote and rural areas. Discussions also focused on supporting entrepreneurship, MSMEs, women-led enterprises, and youth-centric financial programmes.
LG Manoj Sinha appreciated the bank’s role in promoting financial empowerment in J&K and stressed the importance of improving access to banking facilities in far-flung regions. He emphasised the need for collaborative efforts between financial institutions and the administration to boost employment, investment, and inclusive development.
The meeting highlighted the ongoing government push for digital transformation, transparent financial systems, and citizen-friendly service delivery across the UT.
